Guest Speaker: Planning consultant Zendo Kern. Born and raised on the Big Island, Zendo moved to the West Coast where he built a successful real estate development career. Returning to Hawaii County, he has served as chairman of the Windward Planning Commission. As a member of the Hawaii County Council, he chaired the Hawaii County Planning Committee. This extensive knowledge of both the business and governmental aspects of real estate makes Zendo a much sought-after expert. His company provides consultation services for planning, variances, zoning, subdivision, land use permits, open building permits, and many other areas of real estate development.
